ABOUT THE HAWAII KAI JAYCEES |
|
Now in it's 14th year, the Hawaii Kai Jaycees provides excellent opportunities for it's members to grow into leaders while also participating in worthwhile community projects such as the Hawaii Kai Dog Walk and the Hawaii Foodbank's Annual Food Drive at Koko Marina shopping center. In 2008, the chapter became one of the founding members of the Independence Day at Moanalua Bay organization, who will be holding a 4th of July fireworks extravaganza on Friday, July 4, 2008 in Hawaii Kai.
It's work to develop members and the community has been recognized by both the Hawaii Jaycees and community leaders in Hawaii Kai. In 1997, 2003, 2005, and 2006, the Chapter was recognized as the Number 1 Chapter in the Hawaii Jaycees and has won various awards for project and chapter excellence by the United States Junior Chamber.
The Hawaii Kai Jaycees, founded in 1994 by the Maui Jaycees, is one of twelve chapters in the Hawaii Organization. Our primary focus is to develop our members through individual trainings as well as giving them the opportunity to develop critical leadership skills through project management, which helps to serve our namesake community. Members whom have worked to develop themselves in the Hawaii Kai Jaycees have become successful in both work and the community!
